New Year's Eve Dance 12-31-2009

For the Rainier Council, the Swinging Squares club hosted a mainstream New Years Eve Dance. The theme was a "speakeasy" from the Roaring 20’s, and music was provided by the Old Time Fiddlers, a wonderful group of local talented musicians. We had six squares on the floor, with more dancers still in the kitchen-dining area. Many dancers wore Roaring 20's costumes.

Tom and FayTomlinsonHello Swinging Squares and Friends of Swinging Squares.

I want to thank everyone who attended our dance on September 25th honoring Tom & Fay Tomlinson, as you know they are this years winner of the Parker Award. Greg Webber called a fantastic dance. Lorraine Rouse and Sue Webber cued the rounds. We had 8 Squares on the floor. Many in attendance were past award winners in several categories.

Thanks for making it a special night.

Robert Everett
